Dr. Aamir Ehsan is a nationally recognized pathologist, educator, innovator, and health care entrepreneur whose career bridges diagnostic excellence, innovation and health care leadership. Board certified in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology, Hematopathology, Molecular Genetics, and Transfusion Medicine, he brings rare combination of deep expertise and strategic vision insight to audiences across academic, private and industry settings.

Dr. Ehsan completed sub-specialty fellowships at The Ohio State University and UT Health San Antonio, later joining the UT faculty to contribute to clinical service, research, and residents’ education. He was subsequently appointed - Chief of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service at the Audie Murphy VA Hospital - one of only three national VHA bone marrow transplant centers - where he served as site associate Pathology Residency Director, developed reference laboratory services within VHA, and chaired the VHA National Genomic Program.

In 2009, Dr. Ehsan founded CorePath Laboratories, an early-stage entrepreneurial venture that has since grown into one of the nation’s fastest rising oncology and hematopathology reference labs. A passionate advocate for redefining the role pathologists as the “Quarterbacks of Healthcare,” emphasizing leadership in diagnostics, informatics, cybersecurity, and business leadership. He is also the author of the forthcoming book “Hidden Curriculum” which explores the unwritten lessons in pathology - from diagnostic reasoning to professional identity formation and provides guidance for trainees navigating the real-world complexities of pathology and health care challenges.

Through the HemePath Hub Program at CorePath, Dr. Ehsan has provided advanced education, internships, and electives to learners across 15+ U.S. states and 20+ countries, with academic affiliations including MD Anderson Cancer Center, UT Southwestern, and UT Health San Antonio, multiple medical schools and undergrad institutions.
